Bridal Week 2014; Victorio & Lucchino Collection

El miércoles aprovechando que era fiesta, Joliebox, me invitó a la Bridal Week 2014 donde tiene  un stand. Aprovechando la ocasión pude entrar a ver el desfile de Victorio & Lucchino novias.

On Wednesday as it was holiday, Joliebox, invited me to the Bridal Week 2014 where they have a booth.  So I could take the chance to see Victorio & Lucchino’s Bride Collection fashion show.

Las fotos hechas con mi cámara fueron un desastre así que he buscado las que más me gustaron del desfile.

Las flores eran las protagonistas del desfile, llenando de romanticismo la pasarela. Me encantaron los recogidos de las modelos. La trenza era la clave.

Flowers were the main theme, fulfilling the catwalk with romanticism. I loved the upsweeps of the models. The plait was the key.

Mezcla de tejidos; organza, gazar, mikado, raso de seda, tul y shantung… fueron los elegidos.

Mixture of fabrics: organza, tulle, silk, shantung…. were the chosen.

Vestidos que estilan la figura, sin grandes vuelos. Escotes sutiles pero con muchísimo estilo.

Sinuous dresses and delicate necklines full of style.

Estructuras armadas en cuellos y mangas.

Armed structures on necks and sleeves.

Yo ya no sé si es que por defecto me gustaron todos pero ¡puede ser más bonita esta colección!

I don’t know if I love all wedding dresses, by default, but could it be more impressive!

Lanit Pijames: esta marca de pijamas para niños, hechos 100% en algodón, lleva dos años en el mercado y ya cuenta con un gran número de fans…  recomiendo que deis una vuelta por su blog…. No me pueden gustar más  todos los pijamas que tienen. Mi ahijado tiene casi toda la colección. :)

Lanolino: yo acabo de descubrir esta marca y me ha encantado… nace de la unión de dos amigas y su pasión por hacer ropa para sus nietos.

I’ve just discovered this brand and its really nice… born from the union of two friends and their passion to do clothes for their grandchildren.

Bolsos by Neus: autodidacta y muy creativa, así es la autora de estos bolsos que empezó como un hobby y se está convirtiendo en su pasión. Tengo que comprar uno de la colección de verano!

Self-taught and very creative, is how we could define the author of these bags. What began like a hobby has turn out to be its passion. I’m going to buy one for this summer!!!

Patisserie: me declaro a mi misma fan de los dulces en general…. Y solo me faltaba entrar y encontrarme con este genial surtido de pastelería y cupcakes.

El motivo por el cual dedico un post, es básicamente porque, aparte de que me parece una gran iniciativa, entre todos sus comercios encontramos sitios con muchísimo encanto que o bien ya han salido en el blog o lo harán en breve. Como por ejemplo en este distrito encontramos:

The reason I dedicate a post is basically due to the fact that, a part that I find it a great initiative, between all their shops you can find some incredible places to visit, that have been posted before in the blog o they are going to be soon posted. Examples:

1.       Buvette: C/ Amigó 46: sitio para degustar los mejores cupcakes de la ciudad y sin olvidaros de probar el croissant con nutella caliente. Sitio ideal para pasar la tarde viendo todas las maravillas que hace Sonia.
You will be able to try the best cupcakes in the city and don’t forget to try the hot nutella croissant. You will love to stay all the afternoon trying all the wonderful things Sonia does.

2.       Tinta Gris: C/ Amigó 49: si estas pensando en tus invitaciones de boda… es sin duda el sitio ideal en Barcelona. ¡Tienen muchísimo gusto y la tienda no puede ser más ideal! Si buscáis cosas de East of India ellos tienen bastantes.
If you are thinking in your wedding invitations… this is the  place. They have an excellent taste and the shop is really nice. If you look for East of India products you will be able to find them here.

3.       Lu Ink: C/ Madrazo 141: no te puedes perder esta tienda de decoración… además tienen letras de madera ideales para casa… yo me compre la “G” y la “I” y las tengo en la entrada de casa. Además durante esta semana… sortean una lámina de 100x70 cm entre los clientes que adquieran sus productos en la tienda online o en la tienda física durante la Shop & Fun Week. Si además os hacéis seguidores de Facebook ¡regalo extra!
You can’t miss this decoration shop! They also have ideal wood letters… I bought a “G” and “I” and have them at my home entrance. In addition during this week… they raffle a print of 100x70cm between the customers, which buy something during this week, in their webpage or shop. If you are also a Facebook follower you will receive an extra present!

TOTO restaurant and wine bar

Hace ya unos días que quería ir a comer a TOTO, nuevo restaurante situado en la calle Valencia con Balmes, desde fuera tiene muy buena pinta y el interiorismo es de Lázaro Rosa-Violán, ¿no os recuerda a Chez Coco y Casa Paloma?

Since I saw there was a new restaurant near my office, TOTO, I was willing to go. Located in Valencia Street with Balmes (Barcelona). The inner decoration has Lázaro Rosa-Violán as his author, doesn’t it remember you Chez Coco or Casa Paloma?

Finalmente ayer por fin reserve una mesa a medio día para comer ahí con una amiga. Me sorprendió que fuéramos las primeras en entrar, pero es normal porque en la zona donde está situado existen muchas oficinas y la gente prefiere comer menú, si quieres llegar a final de mes. :)

Finally yesterday I did my reservation to have lunch with a friend. I was surprised by the fact that at 14:00h we were the firsts in the restaurant, this is normal as there are many offices around and people prefer to eat a menu, if you don’t want to waste all you salary with lunches. :)

La decoración y el hecho de que tenga la cocina abierta lo hace un sitio, que destila mucho encanto. También se decoró de esta manera ya que sigue la filosofía “slowfood” que es un movimiento internacional nacido en Italia que se contrapone a la estandarización del gusto y promueve la difusión de una nueva filosofía del gusto que combina placer y conocimiento. Uso de productos alimenticios ligados a un territorio y elevar la cultura alimentaria a los ciudadanos.

The decoration and the fact the kitchen is an open space makes it a very charming place. It was decorated this way as it follows the “slowfood” philosophy, promoted as an alternative to fast food, it strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem.

La carta no es muy extensa, tienes alguna pizzeta, los entrantes son más extensos, 4 platos de pasta, 4 de carne y dos de pescado. Nosotros pedimos alcachofas con prosciutto y piñones y yo de segundo pedí orechiette con ragu. ¡EXISITO TODO! Me encanto, aunque casi necesito una grúa para salir del restaurante. 

The menú is not very wide, you have various pizzas, many starters, 4 pasta diches, 4 meat and 2 fish options. We asked for artichokes with prosciutto and pine nuts to share and as principal dish, I asked for orchiette with ragu. ¡WONDERFUL! I loved everything, although I nearly need some help to move… I was full!

El precio medio 35-40eur/pax. / Medium Price: 35-40eur/pax.
